8th Annual Fiber Arts Exhibit
Saturday Sept 14th Studio Bobs

Applications are now available for a Fiber Art Exhibition to be held Sept 14th in the Studio Bob gallery 118 ½ E Front Street in Port Angeles.

The non-juried exhibit, sponsored by Cabled Fiber & Yarn is an extension of the North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival, held annually in Sequim beginning in October and the Pacific Northwest Fiber Arts Exhibit held October 4-6 at the Vern Burton Community Center.

“We define Fiber Art very loosely,” says MarySue French, one of the organizers of the event. “In previous years we had a wide mix of artwork including Spinning, Felting, Weaving, Quilting, Painted Silk, Knitting, Crochet, Costumes, Fiber Paintings, Fiber Sculptures, Needle Punched, Braided and Woven Rugs, Hats and even included driftwood art, and jewelry.”

Artists may submit up to four pieces for a $4.00 per piece hanging fee or four for $12.00. The Exhibition at Studio Bob's gallery will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday September 14th, where artists will available to discuss their art.

Art pieces may be brought to Studio Bob Sept 10-12 from 3:30 – 6:30pm or by arrangement.

The Northwest Regional Spinners Association is now the Northwest Spinners and Fiber Arts Association.  We were always inclusive of all the fiber arts and now it's Official - changing our name and becoming a 501(c)3.  We meet the 4th Sunday of every month at various locations 1-3pm and welcome all to come and see what the fiber arts are all about. Bring your Spinning, Knitting, Crochet, Small weaving or quilting, and more to work on and share with others.
