Instructor: | Jill Tamminen of Knit Sisu |
Instructor Bio: | Jill is the owner, designer, and instructor of Knit Sisu knitting patterns. As a passionate knitter with a background in education, she writes patterns to uplift, teach, and motivate knitters as they make their hand-knit pieces. SISU is a Finnish word translating to a positive mindset of courage, quiet strength, and determination. Jill tries to bring a little Sisu to each knitter through her patterns and support. Designing with the Everyday Knitter in mind, Knit Sisu patterns are accessible and classic, with a touch of modern flare, providing knitters with joy and pride in their finished piece. When she's not knitting, Jill is hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, reading, or spending time with her husband, Rob, and old-dog, Sig (who acts like an eternal puppy).
