Wet Felted Scarf

Learn the techniques of wet felting to create a scarf from start to finish. All materials are provided.You don't have to be an artist to make something great! Wet Felting is limited only by your imagination. in this class you will learn how to make felt with wool, soap, water and a bit of agitation. We will discuss the felting process and what materials will felt, how to lay out and shrink fiber and form a scarf. You will end up with an amazing scarf that will be 3 to 3.5 feet long. Be prepared to have your hands in warm soapy water during the class. Students may want to bring an apron. All other materials are provided.

Instructor Bio: | MarySue has been active in Fiber Arts virtually her whole life, starting knitting at age 4. She has been active in felting since 2009 taking many intensive workshops from nationally recognized instructors and has been teaching felting since 2012. MarySue has displayed her fiber art and demonstrated her technique at the North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival, Studio Bob's, the County Fair and the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center Webster's Woods to name a few. MarySue also offers group classes and can come to your location. |
