ARTIST PROFILE
One obvious advantage of being a tour guide to Bali for the last decade is my personal connections with the artistic Balinese…including the silversmiths.
For several years I have collaborated with a silversmith named Nyoman. I provide him with design possibilities, we work together tweaking prototypes and his small staff produces the items I offer my customers.
As I’m not a trained silversmith, this collaboration is a dream come true. The metal used in my product line is called “white bronze” – a non-tarnishing blend of zinc, copper and tin. Some of the earrings in my line are 100% sterling silver and all of my earrings have sterling silver ear wires.
